months since the demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Sushant's

The Supreme
Court
on Wednesday, 19th August 2020, upheld the Bihar government's
recommendation to investigate the FIR lodged in Patna with the CBI in
connection with the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. This
FIR was lodged by Sushant Singh Rajput's father Krishna Kishore Singh.
A single bench
of Justice Hrishikesh Roy said in its judgment that the Bihar government
is able to transfer the case to the CBI for investigation. He said that
the FIR was lodged by the Bihar Police on the complaint of Sushant Singh Rajput's father and it was
lawful to hand it over to the CBI.
Everyone wants to know the truth of actor's death: Supreme Court
The Supreme Court
said in its order that everyone wants to know the truth of the death of a
talented actor. The Mumbai Police registered an ADR when Sushant
Singh Rajput committed suicide. Even after the post-mortem of the suicide,
the Mumbai police did not register an FIR in the case, not considered a
cognizable offense.
Judgment wins justice: Nitish Kumar
Bihar Chief
Minister, Nitish Kumar has welcomed the Supreme Court verdict in Sushant
Singh Rajput case. He said that this is the victory of justice. In his statement, CM Nitish Kumar said that this is absolutely right, whatever is the
legal form, the same has been done. According to the Hon'ble Supreme Court
order, it is being discovered that it has been cleared that it was
absolutely just and is done according to the law.
CM Nitish Kumar said, whatever
happened in Bihar happened according to law. In this case in the state, the
entire constitutional process was worked out. We followed the constitution
completely.
Case is assigned to CBI under Article 142
The Supreme
Court, using the privilege granted under Article 142 of the Constitution,
handed over the case to the CBI.
FIR registered in Patna is correct
The Supreme
Court has upheld the FIR lodged in Bihar and has ordered the Mumbai Police to
cooperate in the investigation.
CBI can file fresh case in this case: Supreme Court
During the
hearing, the Supreme Court said, CBI can file a fresh case in this case if it
wants. The court said, the Bihar government has the right to refer the case to
the CBI.
Riya is facing allegations
In the FIR
lodged by Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, Riya Chakraborty was charged with
harassing Sushant, embezzling his crores of rupees and abetment to suicide.
Even before the hearing of the case in the Supreme Court, the Bihar government
recommended to hand over the case to the CBI. This was accepted by the Central
Government.

decision by tweeting.
Today all the
fans of Sushant Singh Rajput’s fans are hopeful that CBI will
investigate the case judiciously and the real culprits in his death case will
be probed and punished lawfully irrespective of their name, power or position.
