CUET: THE NEW MANDATE

Workshop by PRATHAM

“Your career will be defined by successes and failures – and your perseverance to succeed.”

Grades-11 and 12 are stressful times for students. A student in high school worries about boards, college admissions, internships, job prospects and above all, the question: What are my plans for the future? In such times of uncertainty, even the smallest change in this fragile structure can cause a student to panic and spiral.

A Career Counselling workshop was organized for the students of classes 11th & 12th on 19th July 2022 by PRATHAM Test Prep. The workshop commenced with the discussion of NEP 2020 Reforms & about NEP 2022 which has brought in the structure of undergraduate degrees and now provide students with multiple exit options. Then CUET: the Common University Entrance Test was explained. Part of the National Education Policy 2020, the CUET aims to provide a common platform and equal opportunities for students to enroll in colleges by removing the barriers of impossibly high cut-offs and disparity caused due to different education boards competing with each other.

It was an enriching experience which certainly eased the anxiety and doubts of the students. This initiative benefitted the students as an in-depth explanation was given on the format, conduction and range of the CUET, along with the presentation of multiple other options a student can pursue at different universities.
