CBSE Term 1 Exam 2022: Board Releases Notice on Change in Method of Responses on OMR
The
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an official notice on the
latest changes in the method of responses on the OMR Sheets, which will
be effective from 7th December 2021 in Term-1 Board Exams.
The CBSE Term-1 Board Exams will conclude on 11th December 2021
and 22 December 2021 respectively for class- 10th & 12th
respectively.
The
CBSE Official Notice says, “It has been observed that
sometimes evaluators cannot differentiate between small letters during
evaluation. This is taking more time in the evaluation of OMR Sheet. It
is therefore directed that the examinations to be conducted from 7th
December, 2021 to till the end, in the OMR options will be marked by
the candidates in capital A, B, C, and D as per the correct response.
This decision is being taken in the midst of the conduct of examinations.”
According to the notice issued by the board, following actions on OMR Sheet Evaluation to be taken strictly:
- Ø Assistant Superintendents must announce
instructions that now responses must be given in capital A, B, C and D
and not in small a, b, c, and d.
- Ø It is the responsibility of the invigilators to
make sure that all the candidates are giving responses in capital A, B, C
and D.
- Ø The observer must ensure that responses are given by the candidates in capital A, B, C and D during the conduct of examination by taking multiple rounds.
- Ø The Centre Superintendents are directed to disseminate the above information as soon as possible.

has been released on the official website – www.cbse.nic.in
The board has released an official notice on the
method of responses on the OMR sheet, which is effective from December 7, 2021.
Students, teachers and other stakeholders can get more information as shared
below or on the official website of CBSE- cbse.gov.in.
CBSE Term 1 Exam 2021-22 are witnessing this change in the middle of
exams as the Board has taken into account the problems being faced by teachers
or staff that evaluates the OMR sheets. Moreover, this time the papers
are being corrected on the same day, after the exam concludes. Hence, to save
more time of teachers, these instructions have been released that all students
are expected to follow.
As per the CBSE Official Notice all school Principals
will also communicate to their teachers going for invigilation duty and
to the students for complying with these directions. Students, teachers and
