day of 14th September as 'Hindi Diwas'. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari,
from literate to illiterate, people of every class understand Hindi
language easily. This is also the identity of this language that no one has any
problem in speaking and understanding it. Hindi Diwas commemorates the
luminaries in the field of Hindi Literature.
History of Hindi Diwas:
On
14 September 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted Hindi
written in Devanagari as the official language of India and on 26
January 1950, under Article 343 of the Constitution, decided
to celebrate 14 September as 'Hindi Day'. Since then, 'Hindi
Day' started being celebrated on 14th September, it is known that in
the year 1918, Mahatma Gandhi had asked to make Hindi language
as the national language in the 'Hindi Sahitya Sammelan', Hindi is
our identity and respect.
After
the independence of India, on 14 September 1949, the Constituent
Assembly unanimously decided that the Hindi language would be the
official language of India. On the request of Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti,
Wardha, to show the significance of this important decision and to
spread Hindi in every region, from 1953, September 14 was
celebrated every year as 'Hindi Diwas' all over India.

World Hindi Diwas 2021 Celebration:
Hindi

entire week is dedicated starting from 14th September as RajBhasha
Week. During entire Rajbhasha Week, each day different themes and
anecdotes related to the language are designed. The government offices conduct
various events and competitions for their employees during Rajbhasha Week.
The
rest of the significant days are celebrated annually one day, but Hindi
Diwas is celebrated as ‘Raj Bhasha Week’ a week-long event. During
the celebration of a week-long event, unique ideas are organized to promote the
language through Talks, Discussions, Slogan
Writing, Essay Writing, Poster Designing, Singing, Skit/Play/Drama,
Speeches and Debates.
Hindi
Diwas is celebrated at a larger scale in schools and
colleges as they are the best places where one gets maximum exposure of any
language. They conduct Talks, Discussions, Slogan Writing, Essay Writing, Poster
Designing, Singing, Skit/Play/Drama, Speeches and Debates in Hindi language.
During
Rajbhasha Week (Hindi Diwas) various competitions are organized in
schools and colleges. Students prepare creative banners and hold placards
and walk-in a rally around their school/ college, focusing on the
importance of Hindi language. We all must do our bit to promote the Hindi
language and make it popular for the forthcoming generations.
Conclusion:
With
the changing era, English has set its feet on the soil of India.
Because of which today we have to celebrate our national language in the name
of a day. Earlier, where the medium of English was not much in schools, today
due to the increase in their demand, children studying in big schools of the
country are lagging behind in Hindi. Not only this, they do not even
know how to write and speak Hindi properly. Not giving importance to Hindi
while living in India is also our big mistake.
“Hindi
is a very scientific language and we must celebrate its uniqueness on the
occasion of Hindi Diwas.”
