World's Largest STEM Challenge:
F1
in Schools™ is an education initiative by Formula One
and is the World's Largest STEM challenge. Time of Sports has brought 2023-24
of F1 in Schools™ India! Offering a way to learn Science, Technology,
Engineering and Maths (STEM) related subjects in such an exciting way is
achieving great results and are increasing the intake of students into
Engineering careers.
F1 in Schools™ is a STEM
competition designed for school students between the age of 9 - 19 years, that
engages teams of 3-6 members and challenges their creativity in designing by
creating a fun and exciting learning environment for a view about careers in
engineering, Formula 1, science, marketing and technology. It is a platform to
recognize and encourage budding innovators, scientists and engineers from
schools. F1 in Schools Ltd is a social enterprise working with committed
industry partners to provide an exciting yet challenging educational experience
through the magnetic appeal of Formula 1.
Developed to introduce
students to STEM subjects in the most engaging way possible – through the
creation of a miniature F1 car – F1 in Schools is an educational project like
no other.
F1 in Ambience Public School
is the global multi-disciplinary challenge in which teams of students aged 9 to
19 deploy CAD/CAM software to collaborate, design, analyze, manufacture, test,
and then race miniature compressed air powered cars made from F1 model block. The
school inspired students to use IT to learn about physics, aerodynamics,
design, manufacture, branding, graphics, sponsorship, marketing,
leadership/teamwork, media skills and financial strategy, and apply them in a
practical, imaginative, competitive and exciting way. Our School has been
participating in this competition for 4-5 years.
The school has provided a
unique global platform for the promotion of Formula 1 and partners to a youth
market. Our team - Knight Fury consists of Dhanika Bhayana, Harshit
Chitkara, Harshil Chitkara, Aarav Khattar, Prabuddh and Arjanvir
and the Teacher Mentor is Ms. Sangita Chadha, the Head of CS
& IT Department.
The Knight Fury- F1
team went to knockout races for car racing under 16, 8 and then in 4. (Semi Finals).
Our team has been awarded with the Best PIT Display Award 2023 and nominated
for the Best Team Identity.
The Ambience F1 Team
has qualified among 14 selected teams out of 35 participating teams for
the F1 National Level in F1 in Schools® India Qualifiers 2023-24 -
North India Zone on 27th September 2023.
