What are the benefits of having an indoor plant?

Indoor plants not only enhance the beauty of the house, but they can save us from many diseases by purifying the air. Nowadays houses are getting smaller where the sun light does not reach easily, but there are some indoor plants which do not need much light. You can place such plants in your room. Indoor plants also reduce fatigue and decrease stress. If your house is at a place where pollution is high, then you should place indoor plants. They filter toxic elements from the air. If you are allergic to dust mites, then these plants are also able to absorb dust and soil mites.

1. Reduce harmful elements from furniture  with Bamboo Palm Plant:

If there is no sunlight reaching your house or you live in a flat where there is no sun, then you can place Bamboo Palm in the house. Harmful elements such as trichlorethylene and benzene are found in the air which will be used to filter this plant. These harmful elements come out of the furniture which needs to be cleaned, so you can place this plant around the furniture.



2. Snake Plant purifies the air:

The Snake Plant helps to purify the air in your house. If you are going out somewhere and you are worried about the care of your plants, then for this plant you will not have to worry because the snake plant does not require much care. It can remain alive without water for several days.




3. Grow Green Spider plant to purify the air during summer days:

Green spider plant is also an indoor plant which purifies the air. You can keep it in the room during the summer season as it does not require much water. It is called green spider because its leaves are shaped like a spider web.




4. If dust remains in the room, plant a weeping fig (Ficus or Weeping Fig):

The Benjamina/ Weeping Fig/ Ficus plant has beautiful white coloured flowers. This plant lasts for a long time. It absorbs dust particles and makes the air cleaner. The leaves of this plant fall, so do not water it too much.




5. Warneck Draceana Plant to protect the house from pollution:

If you keep Warneck Draceana plant in the room, it will protect you from polluted air. If you live in an area where the pollution of vehicles is very high, then you should install this plant in the house. This plant does not need sunlight, so it is considered to be the best indoor plant.




6. Clean the air: Orchid Plant

Orchid Plant not only makes the room special with its beautiful flowers, it also cleans the air by keeping its plant in the room. In the air there are two compounds named xylene and toluene which are not considered good for our health. If you keep the orchid plant in the room, it will filter both these compounds from the air and you will be able to breathe clean air.




7. English Ivy plant to destroy bacteria in bathrooms:

To avoid them, place this plant near the bathroom. According to a research published in the British Journal Lancet, stress is reduced by having home grown plants.




8. If you have asthma or difficulty in breathing, grow Peace Lily Plant:

According to NASA's research, the Peace Lily plant liberates air from trichlorethylene and benzene. Those people who have asthma or who have shortness of breath, they should especially plant Peace Lily plant in the house. This plant can also survive under low light. Instead of using an air freshener with a chemical, use this plant. Its fragrance will change your mood.




9. Toxic compound is extracted from the air by Areca Palm Plant:

If you put the Areca Palm Plant in the house, then it will filter the compound like xylene and toluene from the air. The height of this plant grows up to 5 feet.
