Inter House Hindi Extempore Competition
‘Hindi
is our national language. It helps in expressing emotions and thoughts.
It
gives the ability to understand and use complex systems of language.'
Extempore is a speech that is given on the spot without preparation. It is a test of your knowledge about a topic as well as your ability to express yourself in good words in a framed manner within a limited time.
An Inter House Hindi Extempore Competition
was organized for Classes III -IX in the premises of Small Wonder Public
School on 28 February 2021.
‘Speech is the mirror of the soul; as a man speaks, so he is.’
The event was held to hone the public speaking activities of the students and make them not only good speakers but also alert speakers of Hindi language.
About 65 students participated in the school
from different Houses and gave their views on different interesting topics.
Each student was given 3 to 5 minutes to present their topics which included
the introductory paragraph. All the participants were invited one by one on the
stage and they were made to select a slip from the box on which various Topics
of the Competition were written. The participants were given 10 minutes
to organize their thoughts. Then the competition started and the participants
presented their ideas and thoughts. From the Safety of India to the System
and Cleanliness of India, they openly expressed their views. The participants
also put forth their views on the topics like Protection of the Environment,
Use of Social Networking, and Save the Girl Child.

The competition was held in 3 categories:
Category I: Classes III to IV (1 participant)
Category II: Classes VI to VII (1
participant)
Category III: Classes VIII to IX (1
participant)
The judges for the event were Primary School
Coordinator Ms Gunjan Vasudeva and Middle School Coordinator Ms Sonia
Jaiswal.
The winners’ topics for the Hindi Extempore were:

III to IV- If I Become Invisible (यदि आप
अदृश्य हो जाते हैं)
Category II: Classes VI to VII- Experiential Learning (वास्तविक
शिक्षा अनुà¤à¤µ के माध्यम से होती है)
Category III: Classes VIII to IX- Brain Drain (प्रतिà¤ा
पलायन)

Summing up, the event made a
learning experience for all participating students as well as the audience to have
confidence and speak their mind. The school Primary In-charge and Middle
School Coordinator praised the efforts of the Hindi Department and
congratulated the winners. On this occasion, the Principal MP Sharma
gave the students tips to participate in such programmes and become good
speakers.
