CBSE Special Assessment Scheme 2021-22




 

(CBSE Board Exams 2021-22: CBSE released the New Assessment Pattern for classes 10th & 12th, learn five special things)


 

CBSE Board Exams 2021-22: CBSE has released a new pattern for the academic session 2021-22. The syllabus is divided into two terms. The mark sheet of the students will be prepared on the basis of examinations of both the term.

 


CBSE Board Exams 2021-22: The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the pattern for the new academic session 2021-22. This time many important changes have also been made in the pattern. According to the special assessment scheme issued by CBSE, examinations will be conducted twice in this academic session. Marksheet will be prepared on the basis of examination of both the term. CBSE will release the notification of the entire syllabus by this month.

According to the government order issued by Joseph Emmanuel, Director (Teaching), CBSE, the syllabus for the academic session 2021-22 will be rationally divided into two terms, for which the help of subject experts will be taken.

 



Assessment Pattern:


CBSE has also said that three periodic tests, portfolio and practical work will be included in the internal assessment for class 9th and 10th whereas unit tests / practical tests / projects are to be included in the internal assessment of 11th and 12th.

The CBSE board has asked the schools to prepare the profile of the students. As per the CBSE circular, the schools will prepare the profile of the students for all the assessments done throughout the year and create a digital format for it.

 


 

Highlights of the New Pattern:
 

1)    The examination of the first term will be held in November-December 2021 while the examination of the second term will be held in March-April 2022.

2)    About 50-50 percent of the syllabus will be covered in each term.

3)    The examinations will consist of Multiple Choice Objective Questions (MCQs), these MCQs can be of event based and other types.

4)    The exam time for the first term will be 90 minutes and the exam for the second term will be of two hours.

5)    In the case of corona, the examination of the second term will also be of 90 minutes.

6)    CBSE will rationalize the syllabus of class 10th and 12th for 2021-22.

7)    The new syllabus for the session 2021-2022 of CBSE may be notified by the end of July.

8)    Efforts will be made to make the internal assessment / practical project work more reliable and valid as per the guidelines and moderation policy announced by the Board to ensure proper fixation of marks.

9)    The board will also provide additional resources like sample assessment, question bank, teachers training, etc. for more reliable and valid internal assessment.

 



These innovations are included:

 

·        Until the authorities allow in-person teaching in schools, schools will continue to teach in online mode.

·        For Classes IX - X Internal Assessment (whole year irrespective of Term I and Term II) will consist of 3 Periodic Tests, Student Enrichment, Portfolio and Practical Work / Speaking - Listening Activities / Project Tasks.

·        For Classes 11th - 12th Internal Assessment (throughout the year except for Term I and Term II periods) Topic End or Unit Tests / Exploratory Activities /  Experimental Work / Practicals / Projects will be included.

·        A profile of the student will be prepared for all the assessments done by the school during the year and its evidence will be saved in digital format.

·        CBSE schools will also be provided with the facility to upload internal assessment marks on the CBSE IT platform.

 

 


 

Conclusion:


The CBSE board said that the new syllabus would be notified by the end of July. Efforts will be made to make internal assessment and project work more credible and valid for board examinations in 2022. The Central Board of Secondary Education also announced that it will rationalize its syllabus for class 10th and 12th.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday 5th July announced a special evaluation scheme for class 10th and 12th board examinations for the 2021-22 session. As per the new norms of CBSE, the syllabus for the academic session 2021-22 will be divided into two parts. With this scheme, 50 percent syllabus will be covered in each term.
