School Report on Annual Sports Meet

 

'The miracle isn't that you finished,

The miracle is that you had the courage to start.

It's impossible to win race unless you venture to run,

Impossible to win the goal, unless you dare to battle.'

Sports Extravaganza:

A magnificent sports extravaganza was organized in the school on December 1st, 2019, in which all the students from Nursery to Class-X participated with great fervour and manifested their athletic skills with an unimpeachable finesse.

Welcoming the Chief Guest:

The mega event commenced with the green welcoming of the Chief Guest, the Mayor of the City, Mr.Gautam Sardana, the Chairperson of Indus Group of Schools, Dr. Ekta Sindhu, Guest of Honour, Mr. Navin, the President of Rotary Club.

Welcome Song, March Past & Oath Taking Ceremony:

A welcome song was sung by the school choir, creating a reverential atmosphere. The event proceeded further with the March Past led by the Head Boy & Head Girl, Sports Head Boy, and Sports Head Girl & Captains of all four Houses. It was a visual treat as it was a spectrum coloured drill, an inspiring, enthusiastic and beautifully coordinated display. It was followed by the Oath Taking Ceremony and the singing of the School Song.

Sports' Day Torch:

Sports' Day Torch was illuminated by the Chief Guest, the City Mayor, Mr. Gautam Sardana & the Chairperson, Dr. Ekta Sindhu and it was carried on with pride by the Sports Head Boy & Sports Head Girl.

The Chief Guest declared the Annual Sports Meet-2019 open.

Vivified by the releasing of balloons, the symbol of freedom & free spirit.

Annual Sports Report:

The Annual Sports Report was read by the school Principal. Thereafter, the well contested Sports events from Nursery to Class-X started, which saw the participants giving their all to the events. The athletic events were- Lemon Spoon Race (Classes- 3rd to 5th), Three Legged Race(Classes-3rd to 5th), 50 Metres Race & Hurdle Race (Kindergarten), Uniform Race (1st & 2nd), Sack Race (6th to 10th), Shot Put (6th to 10th), Long Jump (6th to 10th), 100 Metre, 200 Metre & Relay Race (6th to 10th), Tug of War (House wise).

Cultural Programmes, Yoga Presentation & Martial Arts:

These events were clear examples of how perseverance & team spirit lead to success. The spectators watched the Cultural programmes, Yoga presentation & Martial Arts with bated breath.

Prize Distribution Ceremony:

The much awaited Prize Distribution Ceremony was held in which all the winners were adorned with medals by the Guests of Honour at the victory stand. The Guests of Honour appreciated the efforts of the staff & students in making this day a success.

Vote of Thanks:

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks given by the school Principal who thanked each & everyone who worked day & night tirelessly in order to conduct a successful Athletic Meet. The event ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
