Basant Panchami is the major

seasons, which include Vasant Ritu, Greesham Ritu, Varsha Ritu,
Sharad Ritu, Hemant Ritu and Shishir Ritu. Out of all
these seasons, Vasant is considered the king of all the seasons, that
is why, this day is called Basant Panchami.
And it is from this day that spring begins. In this season, crops
are cropped up in the fields and flowers start blooming and
everywhere seems to be prosperous and gold grows on the earth, that is,
the crops on the earth are blooming. It is believed that on this day Mata Saraswati
was born, therefore special worship of Saraswati Mata is
organized on the day of Basant Pachmi. Goddess Saraswati is
considered to be the goddess of learning and wisdom. On the day of Basant
Panchami, Goddess Saraswati is asked for the boon of learning,
wisdom, art and knowledge. On this day, people should wear yellow clothes
