School / College Reopening 2021
The Government of
Jharkhand was also allowed to open state schools, colleges and coaching
institutes from 1 March 2021. After this, the educational institutions
which have been closed for almost a year are being opened from today.
Schools, colleges and
other educational institutions were closed in all the states due to the
lockdown imposed across the country due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
However, as the situation improved, with the beginning of the year 2021,
schools and colleges in many states were reopened for senior classes and
physical classes are being conducted again along with online classes. In this series,
schools in many states are now being opened for junior classes - primary also
with the beginning of March. On the other hand, regular classes are
being started in many states where higher education institutions have not yet
been opened. However, online classes for all these classes will continue as
before.
Bihar
The Bihar State
Government had given permission to open schools for 1st to
5th junior classes in schools from today, 1st March. Earlier, in
February, the government had given the relaxation to open for students of
junior high school and senior classes with maximum 50% attendance.
Haryana
Like Bihar, the Haryana
State Government has also allowed schools to conduct classes for the
students of first and second classes. Earlier, the government allowed schools
to be opened for students from class III to V.
Jharkhand
On the other hand, the Jharkhand
government was also allowed to open schools, colleges and coaching
institutes in the state from 1 March 2021. After this, the educational
institutions which have been closed for almost a year are being opened from today.
However, students must bring their parents' written consent to attend
classes. Earlier, the state government had instructed not to conduct offline
examinations for all except class X and XII.
Meghalaya
The Meghalaya
government also granted exemption to state schools for kindergarten
and play schools opened today, from 1 March 2021. These schools
will have to ensure adherence to the necessary instructions in view of Covid-19.
Mizoram
The government of
Mizoram had given permission to all the colleges and universities of the
state to be reopened from today.
Jammu and Kashmir
Schools and colleges in
Jammu and Kashmir region are being reopened from today, 1st March.
However, physical classes for junior classes in schools are to be held from 8
March.
