(Report on Inter House Science Quiz)

 

      ‘Science is a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge.’

 

Science being a practical subject is always a favourite subject among students. Inter House Competitions are always a source of enthusiasm and knowledge. An Inter House Science Quiz was conducted in the school on Monday, 2021. The competition was organized in the Auditorium of the school.

 

The students of classes III to VIII assembled in the Auditorium and were seated House wise in six different rows. The School Principal, Mrs. Nisha Dhingra and the Middle School Coordinator, Mrs. Sonia Jaiswal was present as the Guest of Honour for the competition.

 

‘The science of today is the technology of tomorrow.’

 

Mrs. Bhavana was the Quiz Master for the quiz. The Quiz took place in two Categories - Category1 which included one student each of class III to V; the Second Category included one student each of classes VI to VIII of the six respective Houses.

 

There were four rounds of the Science Quiz- Questions based on Science, Astronomy Round, Visual Round and Rapid Fire. First four rounds had a time limit of 30 seconds each for each team. The rapid fire round was of 2 minutes with as many questions the House participants could answer.

 

‘Astronomy compels the soul to look upwards and leads us from this world to another.’

 

The quiz was enjoyed by all and added value by enhancing the scientific temperament and astronomy knowledge of all the participants as well as the audiences. The school Principal, Mrs. Nisha Dhingra appreciated the wonderful participation of the students and congratulated the winners. Mrs Dhingra along with honouring the three participants, who topped in this competition, congratulated them and encouraged them. She motivated the students of the school to perform well in the same way as well.
